It was said that weapons may have different looks and skills
I mean, for a whole lot of PSO2 Meseta us this game is no more than a quick log in, 5 minute daily, then lobby idle until UQ, so this (maybe not ) new game will not really interfere with what some of us are already doing lol I enjoy this game enough that I will probably keep playing it even after NGS starts, especially if they’re serious about supporting it before 2022. Also the jury remains out on how makeup and other bound things will be handled out of their vague announcement. Cosmetics, premium, and expansions are character bound but we do not know if they will continue over, but if they do then it won’t be a complete waste of cash.
I am really excited for this upgrade. I simply don’t like that our levels will be flashed. For someone who just started this year with NA, like me, it really hinders my desire to keep improving my character in the version of PSO2 we have today. I don’t mind leveling a new character and whatnot, however if we are keeping weapons and components we actually need to learn how they will be carried over. I’d love to have a few good sets of equipment to use at the start but it could be… unfortunate if they nerfed a 13 celebrity weapon into a three star or something similar. I really could see a 13 falling to a 12 or 11, maybe even 10 celebrity with valid reasoning and sufficient new gear to locate. However, more than this would be absurd. And when affixes aren’t taken over it puts a hamper on attempting to affix items to be good equipment. Might as well just slap a few decent ones on there for low cost and wait till NG comes out to determine how they do affixing in it.
They talk in vague terms about stats, affixes, and abilities changing. I would not be surprised when they took away a lot of the mill and other upgrades players have put on their equipment so that veterans have less of an advantage over new players. They may also make completely new skills that produce the transfer equipment less relevant. Difficult to say. They did say that we may not meet the equip requirements of their transfer equipment for some time after starting NGS, so obviously it will not move over as level 1 gear. I really don’t believe we should put our expectations too high though. I will assume transfer gear will either be mid-game gear or require a ton of updates to be end-game equipment unless they state otherwise.
It was said that weapons may have different looks and skills, and might be on your level/ability to use initially. Components aren’t going to cheap Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta have any makeup, but still have stats, but not the same though. No mention of mill, affixes, or camos.
